Each program has been hard at work preparing for competition, and our student-athletes are ready to represent the Hornets with pride, passion, and determination. Here’s a look at what to expect from each team this winter:
Boys Basketball
The Boys Basketball team enters the season with strong momentum and a renewed focus on discipline, defense, and fast-paced play. With a balanced mix of returning standouts and rising young talent, the Hornets look poised to make a deep run in region play. Leadership, energy, and depth across all positions will be key strengths as the team gears up for another competitive year on the hardwood.
Girls Basketball
Our Girls Basketball program returns with experience, toughness, and strong team chemistry. Led by seasoned players and dedicated captains, the Lady Hornets are determined to build on last season’s growth. With several athletes returning from injury and a promising group of underclassmen stepping up, this year’s squad is focused, hungry, and ready to compete for a top spot in the region.

The Hornet Wrestling program returns with grit and determination. With several returning wrestlers bringing valuable experience, the team is prepared to compete fiercely on the mat. New additions to the roster have added depth and intensity to the lineup, and early-season preparation has focused heavily on technique, conditioning, and mental toughness. Expect a strong showing across multiple weight classes this winter.
Competitive Dance (Purple Reign Dance)
Our Competitive Dance Team, the Purple Reign, is ready to showcase precision, creativity, and school spirit once again. Known for their high-energy routines and polished performances, the dancers have been training rigorously to prepare for competition season. With a talented group of performers and strong leadership, Purple Reign is set to deliver memorable routines that bring excitement to both our games and the competition floor.
Winter Season Outlook
From the court to the pool to the mat and the dance floor, Hampton’s winter athletes are putting in the work and proudly representing the Hornet spirit. We encourage our community to pack the stands, support our student-athletes, and help make this winter sports season one of our best yet.
The Hampton Hornets Flag Football program continues to rise, building momentum and excitement under the leadership of Head Coach Williams, now entering his second year at the helm. What began as a developing program has quickly grown into a competitive and spirited team that reflects Coach Williams’ vision, dedication, and passion for empowering student-athletes.
Since taking over the program, Coach Williams has placed a strong emphasis on fundamentals, teamwork, and creating a positive environment where athletes can thrive. His commitment to teaching the game the right way—combined with his ability to connect with players—has helped elevate the team’s confidence, chemistry, and performance on the field.
This season, the Hornets continue to show significant growth. The players have embraced their roles, improved their football IQ, and demonstrated a strong work ethic during practices and games. The team’s development is evident in their execution, competitive drive, and enthusiasm every time they take the field.
Under Coach Williams’ leadership, the program is not only becoming more competitive, but also steadily expanding—in numbers, skill level, and overall community interest. His second year as head coach showcases a program on the rise, built on strong values, discipline, and a commitment to getting better every day.
With a foundation of hard work and growing talent, the Hampton Hornets Flag Football Team is poised for continued success. The future is bright, and the program is quickly becoming a proud part of Hampton Athletics.GO HORNETS!
