Music 

The Vocational Faculty offers a wide range of subjects suited to the needs of the local community. We pride ourselves on delivering practical and theoretical lessons that provide a flavour of careers across our industries. 

Other subjects in this faculty include; Health and Social Care, Performing Arts, Hair Studies, Sport and Dance and Child Development.

BTEC-MUSIC

Taster lessons will take place with Miss Short in your normal music lesson. 

Please note

Do not choose music if you do NOT have musical instrumental skills. You must be able to sing, rap, beatbox or play an instrument such as the piano, drums, guitar etc.

Aims and Content of the Course

The Music Btec course is designed to give you practical Music skills and knowledge of Music  and the Industry. You will look at music from 1950s to the present day. Make music for TV, Film and Computer games. You can perform live or record your music.

Assessment and Examinations

3 Components MUST BE COMPLETED. They are compulsory. 

(All 3 components are completed under controlled exam  conditions) There is a writing part to the components as well as practical.
