Welcome to our KS4 Options Website, the starting point for an exciting stage in your education. Over the next few weeks, you will be choosing the subjects you will study in Years 10 and 11, subjects that will shape your learning, open new opportunities, and help prepare you for life beyond Year 11.
Your Options process begins at our Options Evening on 5 February, where you and your family can explore each subject in more depth, speak to teachers, and start thinking about which courses inspire you. This website is here to support that journey, offering clear information about every subject available at KS4 so that you can make choices confidently and with purpose.
As you consider your options, think not only about what you enjoy now, but also about where each subject could take you. Your KS4 choices can influence your Post-16 pathways from A-Levels and vocational courses to apprenticeships and future careers. Choosing subjects for the right reasons is essential: select courses that genuinely interest you, match your strengths, and support the ambitions you are beginning to form for life after Year 11.
You will continue these conversations at the Year 9 Parents’ Evening on 12 March, where your teachers can offer personalised advice based on your progress so far. After this, you will have until 19 March to submit your final Options Form.
Take your time, explore the information carefully, ask questions, and make thoughtful decisions. Your KS4 journey starts here—let’s make it a strong and successful one.
The deadline for Year 8 students to make their choices is Thursday 12th March 2026.
Students wishing to discuss their choices after this date should speak to Mr Bacon directly.
