Week of

4/30 - 5/04/18

Rugby had several 7th grade students competing in the National History Day state level competition last Saturday. Tallulah Quinn finished 2nd and qualified to compete at Nationals! Thanks to Mrs. Maxon, Ms. McCrary, and Mrs. Waycaster for facilitating these students’ work.

I would like to thank Mrs. Futch for organizing another successful Mountains to Sea Trip! I appreciate her and all of the adult chaperones, who make it possible to move all those students safely across the state. The bonds and memories made on these trips help to build the special school culture we have at RMS.

Our Spring athletic teams have had some weather-related schedule changes that have impacted to highlights listed below. We are nearing season’s end, so take the opportunity to get out to support your students.

Rugby will begin year-end testing in just over a month, and in order to comply with testing regulations, we will need lots of volunteer proctors. Please contact Leanne Perry at RMS if you’re able to help.

The second Technology and Innovation Fair will be held on May 3 from 4:30-6:30 pm at the BRCC Conference Hall. This is a drop-in event, highlighting the work of HCPS teachers and students. If you have time available, this is an inspiring evening!
