Week of

3/19 - 3/23/2018

Congratulations to a group of seventh graders who represented Rugby beautifully this past weekend at the National History Day competition. Kendall Guinn, Abbey Heatherly, Kylee Haynes, Angie Gonzalez-Lopez, Aislin Eberhart, Annelise Eidt, Tallulah Quinn and Elizabeth Crane all placed in the top three in their categories. Thanks to Mrs. Garrett, Ms. McCrary and Mrs. Waycaster for offering these students another way to be involved with life at Rugby!

This coming Thursday, March 22 is Chick-Fil-A Spirit NightT in support of our soccer program. Come out and support Rugby MIddle School by dining at the Hendersonville Chick-Fil-A anytime between 5:00 and 8:00 pm.

It is important to know that we, as members of Henderson County Public Schools, have redoubled our efforts toward school safety. We ask that parents make a point to talk to students, encouraging them to be open with school personnel about anything concerning the safety and security of our schools. We want parents and students to know that school safety is dependent on open communication between students and adults.

We have a noticed a growing trend of students bringing blankets with them for the school day. For reasons of school safety and sanitation, we ask that students not bring blankets to school. Please help us communicate this to your student.

The third nine weeks ends this Friday, 3/23/18. Encourage your student to communicate with teachers and end this quarter strong in preparation for the final quarter of the school year.

8th Grade Parents: On Monday, March 19, West Henderson High School is hosting their annual Curriculum Carnival for our 8th graders. This event will begin promptly at 6:00 pm in the WHHS auditorium. This event will be followed by visits by WHHS counselors before our 8th graders register for their 9th grade classes. If you have questions regarding your student’s registration, please call us at the school.
