How to: Troubleshoot a Broken Link

Teachers often post external links in Schoology directing you or your student to a website or even a Google Document. Depending on how the link is posted, when you first click on it, you may be greeted by a frowny face that makes it seem as though the website does not work. Generally, however, this is not actually the case.

If you run into this problem, you can troubleshoot it by doing the following:

  1. Click on the link.

  2. When you see the error message that the link will not open or Google drive will not connect, click the blue title towards the top of the page or the box with an arrow pointing out.
