How to: Find Missing work and/or Check Grade Comments

When teachers create assignments in Schoology, they appear in the Schoology "Grades" section. Each digital assignment is hyperlinked in the grades section, so that students can directly access it from there. This makes the Schoology "Grades" an excellent way to look for missing work. Additionally, when your student submits his work, an assignment icon (a sheet of paper, talking bubbles, or a blue/green puzzle piece depending on the type assignment) will be displayed to the right. If no icon is present, this means the assignment has not been submitted. Teachers can use indicators to show that assignments are missing, incomplete or excused. Hover over the icon to see what it means. Finally, any comments the teacher made on the student's assignment can be viewed to the right of the assignments.

If your student wants to view comments/scores on assignments or find missing work, have them:

  1. Click on Grades in the left-hand navigation bar.

  2. Scroll until you see the title of the assignment.

  3. Assignments that have BLUE title are direct links to the assignment where students can submit work.

  4. Assignments that have a BLACK title are assignments completed on paper and cannot be accessed virtually.
