Schoology has created a feature that enables teachers to post updates to students as reminders. These reminders show up on the main page of Schoology when you or your student first log in. Often, students will only have the ability to "like" updates. However, in some instances, teachers may choose to grant students the ability to respond to and interact with updates.

Although there are a few ways that students can respond, one easy way to respond to an update that a teacher has posted in a course is to:

1. Select the Course.

2. Select the word Updates on the left side of the screen.

3. Read the update that your teacher has left.

4. Under the update, there will be a box in which you can type/respond to that Update. This is a great place to leave comments, respond to questions, or ask questions.

5. When done typing, select the word Post to leave your comment.

*Sometimes your teacher may disable your ability to respond to an Update. This will be the choice of your teacher.
