Media albums create a convenient way to share images or videos in Schoology. Sometimes teachers will use media albums to share pictures with you of what is happening in class. Other times, they will be used as a form of assignment in the classroom.
If your student has been asked to share content to a Media Album, they should:
Click on the Media Album that the teacher has posted.
To add a photo/video, click on Add Media on the far right side.
Click Attach Files and go to where the media has been saved on the Chromebook.
Select the file, and then select Open.
Select Add Media to post to the Album.
Note: Uploads are limited to 512 MB/file.
Sometimes, teachers will ask students to interact with media they post or that other students post. This is a great way to create engagement and build community in their classrooms as well as continue the conversation outside of class.
If your student is asked to comment on someone else's media, they should:
Click on the Media Album the teacher has posted.
Click on an image thumbnail to enlarge the photo.
Comment in the space below the photo.
Note that commenting may not be turned on for ALL Media Albums. This is a setting the teacher can turn on/off at their discretion.
The .gif below demonstrates how students can contribute content to a Media Album and where they are able to comment.
