Offline Access

Sometimes a WiFi connection is not available, but you still need to work on an assignment. Google Drive allows you to work with Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drawings offline. Your work will be synced the next time you connect to WiFi. Follow the steps below to ensure offline access is turned on.

Google Drive

1) Click on Google Drive in Classlink or go to drive.google.com

2) Click the gear in the top right corner of drive

3) Make sure there is a blue check next to "Offline"

4) Click the blue "done" button

Google Files

1) Right click (press down or tap with 2 fingers on a Chromebook)

2) Look for the switch next to "available offline" and click it

3) A blue circle with a check will appear next to the file name

It is suggested that you do this for important assignments that you are currently working on.

*For some files, like drawings, turn on offline access from the file menu.
