To assess students formally (with an actual test or quiz) or informally (with a warm-up, classwork assignment, exit ticket, or homework), teachers may assign a Schoology Test/Quiz. Note that although these assignments may not always be scored as tests or quizzes in the grade book, Schoology still calls them that.
If your student has been assigned this type of work and is struggling, instruct them to:
Select the appropriate assignment from the list of materials provided by the teacher. Hint: An easy way to tell if your assignment is a test/quiz is that the icon for a test/quiz is a GREEN puzzle piece.
Select the Start New Attempt button.
Answer the questions. They are often true/false or multiple-choice questions, but you may also find that you have ordering or short answer/essay questions.
Review your answers.
Submit your answers using the submit button.
*If the teacher allows instant scoring, you may find out right away how well you did on the test/quiz. They may also allow students to have multiple attempts to improve. These options are selected by the teacher and may not be available on every test/quiz.
