As a parent/guardian, you have the ability to manage what notifications you receive from Schoology in the settings of your Schoology profile.
To change notification settings:
Go to your name (or your child's) in the top right corner and select Settings.
Select the tab that says Notifications. Adjust your delivery preferences for the Parent Email Digest and the Overdue Submissions Email, as desired.
Once you turn the settings on for the Parent Email Digest, you have the ability to customize when and how often these emails are sent.
You must have all of your course notifications on for updates from your school and your teacher. Make sure all of those are toggled ON for each subject/class.
Students also have the ability to adjust their notification settings to receive emails and/or text messages related to their schoolwork. If your student is attempting to do this, but struggling here's how you can help.
Tell them to:
Click the arrow next to your name on the top right side of Schoology.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
Click the Notifications tab.
Select the button next to the notifications you want to change.
Choose On (receive from all sources), Off (do not receive from all sources), or Custom (pick and choose the sources).
Click Save Changes at the bottom.
It is recommended that students leave notifications ON for school updates, course updates, and overdue materials updates.
If your student would like to turn on text message notifications:
Click the hyperlink in the blue box on the right of the Notifications page
Choose your wireless phone carrier.
Press Set Mobile.
