The webinar began at 1:07 p.m. The prayer was followed by the national anthem and the HCDC Mission-Vision Goals. The BSCA program chairperson, Sir Aljun Lozano, conducts the opening remarks and introduces the guest speaker. The guest speaker introduces himself and provides a brief explanation about how we fill out forms in the Experient system, as well as a demonstration of the three service providers, namely E-konek, CDEC, and Intercommerce. The guest speaker gave us a quick overview of DICT, including how they berth 423m, handle panamax and post-panamax vessels, are connected to major ports around the world, have over 1,400 reefer outlets to serve fresh food, and give world-class terminal service.
As a customs broker we need to prepare all documents; VASP, BOC-EPU, Chief-Informal Entry Division, Principal Appraiser, Coo III, Liquidation & Billing Unit, Assessment Chief, District Collector, Pay Duties and Taxes. The guest speaker shows us the necessary documentation. The E2M lodgment includes 69 boxes to fill out. The BOC Office verifies the vessel's arrival and registry number; receive the bill of lading, commercial invoice, packing list, and import permission; compute duties and taxes; and file a single administrative document. The guest speaker then explained the procedure for sending the documents. The importer sends the original documents to the customs broker, who then lodges the entry and makes the payment. The guest speaker next shows the AVP of the BOC and how there is a warehouse assessment division entry processing unit and has a category when checking the documents and goods for selected entry. The guest speaker next tells us about the profiling entries, such as the location of products profile and the currency profiles, in the CDEC.
When filling out the declaration form for the registry number, three letters, four digits, and a dash year should be used. The guest speaker provided an example (ABC0123-22). The port name would be used for customs clearance. He then told us that if there is already an option when searching, it is already manifested. The guest speaker then shows us how to fill out the remaining boxes, such as the importer's name, the model declaration, the vessel's registry number, the port of destination, the location of goods, the country of export and origin that can be found on the bill of lading, the terms of delivery (what incoterm will be used), the currency, wharfage and arrastre charges, the terms of payment, the bank, the branch, and the bank reference number that consists of 16 digits. He then fills out the marks and no. of container, the goods description, no. of packages, invoice number, HS code, specification code, preference (the country of origin and preferential tariffs), the procedure if its consumption or others, extended procedure, gross and net weight, units, customs value computed, and adjustment, which he told us is always one. After the discussion was an open forum and the awarding of certificates of appreciation. The guest speaker encourages us to "like" his Facebook page. Sir Job led the concluding prayer. Webinar has concluded.
