SUMMER SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS

HVLN Hawaii Online Courses summer session is a compact, accelerated program. Excessive absences will lead to disciplinary action, which may include a reduction in course grade, not earning course credit, and/or release from the summer program without a refund.

If you are planning a summer vacation or trip, Hawaii Online Courses may not be the platform for you. If you elect to enroll in Hawaii Online Course and are on a trip, you are still REQUIRED to log in every day to complete assignments.

YOU WILL NOT BE GRANTED EXTENSIONS OR ALLOWED TO MAKE UP ASSIGNMENTS DUE TO A TRIP, VACATION, COMMUNITY SERVICE, JOB, OR SPORTING EVENT SUCH AS A TOURNAMENT, ETC.

Online synchronous meetings may be scheduled throughout the class. Dates and times will be determined after class begins.

Students must have access to a computer, internet, and headphones.

Students NEW to HVLN HOC using the Canvas learning management system must pass an online mandatory student orientation course with a score of 40 or higher. If this requirement is not completed by the specified date, prior to the start of summer school, the student will be dropped. You will receive the login and information on these requirements after you complete registration.
