Middle Adulthood

Ages 40 - 65

Physical  Development

This was my mother at 50 years old. I feel like I will have clear skin and look young just like her if I keep taking care of my face.

During middle adulthood, I feel that I'll still be "young" and strong just like my mother and father. They are still up and about, working, and are active at just 55+ years old.

As for my face/skin, my mother and I are basically the same, and her face is still smooth and young-looking since she cleans her face and does skin care every day and night. I hope to look the same as her since skin care is important for her as it is for me.

Cognitive Development

This is a picture of my mom (early 40's) in her work uniform. This will represent me working as a nurse even when I'm starting to age older.

Hopefully my memory and intelligence will be at least the same as my mother and father. They both still have a great memory and still remembers how life was like in the Philippines.

I feel like I will be stressed and tired from work, and I will probably retire from my job as a registered nurse during my early 60's.

I might also be depressed since my parents will be very old (80-100+ years old) and might be close to death (hopefully not).

Psychosocial Development

This is a picture of my mom (in the middle) in her middle 40's and you could actually see me with my long hair (I was around 6 years old). This picture represents how I will be surrounded with long-term friends or friends that I made at work.

Since my parents are old and my friends and I are starting to get close to retirement, I will probably spend a lot more time with family and friends. Going out and enjoying life will probably be my biggest goal in life at this point.

I plan on financially supporting my children and saving up money for them to use in college in the future or for emergencies.
