The CNC Machine broke so I can't carve my board so I am going to have to do it another time. So I just finished my refection.

Reflection
Using a piece of wood, CNC Machine, and the website easel, I created a board that has my last name on it and has some other things on it that are personalized to me and my family because I wanted to make a sign that is personalized to me and my family. I also wanted to make it because we have a shelf with a empty spot. So I thought I could make a sign to put on the shelf.
During this process, I learned how to change the size of the drill bit on the website. I also learned on how to change the size of the board on the website which I figured out how to by another student showing so I could help. I also learned that the CNC machine can over heat and break which is kind of common since but I did not know that.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I am learning from my mistakes. Like I accidently cut the board the wrong size and so I had to cut it smaller.
A challenge I overcame on this project was that I couldn't figure out how to change the size of the board on the website. Another thing was I couldn't figure out how to change the size of the bit on the website. I was able to do it by asking another student on how to and they showed me how so I know in the future.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the design I did . The reason why I would change it is because I like what I have but I would like to put some of my own things on it. Another thing I would change the size of the board I like the size but I would want it a little smaller .

My project connects to the Construction Trades CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in wood working because because I made a sign out of wood. Another career my project connects to a carpenter because I am working with wood. Like I cut the wood and am going to carve it out. A carpenter makes around 47k-82k a year It all depends on what kind of carpenter..
