You will need a Micro bit and batteries and a computer.

What is your plan to create in this project?

My plan is to make it say my name. Plus, make it say a smiley face when a button is pressed.

Some unique qualities that it will have is it will say my name. The smiley face will flash and keep doing that until I stop.

Daily Log

Day 1-I planned of what I was going to make. For my projects.

Day-2 I started figure out how to code with the micro bit .

Day-3 Make it say my name and record. Which was my very first project I had to do.

Day- 4 Was not here

Day-5 I started and finished my 3rd project. Which was smiley face when it was shaked.

Day-6 On the last day of this project I made a random number generator.

Using Miro bits , I created 4 projects because that is what I had time for in 5 days. The first one I did was make the micro bit say my name. The second one I made was a flashing heart that appeared when I wanted it to. The third I made was I made the micro bit flash a smiley face when it was shaken. The last one I did was a random number generator.
During this process, I learned how to code with a micro bit. I also learned how to make the micro bit do special things on certain commands. Another thing I learned how to add the code to my google drive so that you can see it.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor, because I came into this project kind of knowing how to code. Then I did some research to know how to code better.
A challenge I overcame on this project was my micro bit would not connect to my computer. I was able to do it by not giving up. I also plugged in the micro bit into the computer and connected it to the micro bit. So that is how it started working.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what was on the things I put on the micro bit. The reason why I would change it is because I can learn how to do something else. Plus, I could do something that was harder or that would make me try more than I did.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Computer Programming. One job that involves computer programming is a NC Programmer. The job pay goes from 41k to 110k.
