Are you working by yourself or in a team?
By my self
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need screw drivers. a computer, and a iPad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
My plan is to find then different parts of a Chromebook.
What unique qualities will your project have?
I will learn what different parts are in a Chromebook.
I started taking apart a computer that was already taken apart and took apart even more.
Someone stole my computer that was working on day 1 so I goat a new one that wasn't apart. I didn't get very far because the screws wouldn't come out.
Today I kept on taking my computer apart. I almost got down with it but still had a couple more things to take off.
I finished taking a couple thing off the computer then I started a new project with a couple other students on a printer.
Today I worked on my rwebsite by adding picture and doing my reflection. I also did my video.
Using screw drivers, my hands, a Chromebook , and a printer, I took apart a chrome book and found all the parts that g into making it work. Like the green boards, the batterie, and the things that make the keyboard work because I thought it would be cool to see what was inside a Chromebook to make it work am=nd run like normal. I also thought it would be cool to help take a part a printer and see how a printer works. Also to see how many parts there are to make the printer and chrome books work.
During this process, I learned that there are many screws in a Chromebook and that there are many green boards in a Chromebook. With the printer I learned not to tip the ink holder on its side because it will all fall out. Another thing I learned that the ink is a powder and not a liquid and that it gets every where if you are not carful because it will stain your clothes.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digital Citizen because when there was a problem I found something to fix it. Like I couldn't get the screw out I would find something to get it like change the screw driver or just break and force it to come out.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not being able to get the screws out to get into the Chromebook. Another thing I over came was that I couldn't get a plastic piece off of the chrome book to get to all the stuff that was under it. I was able to do it by Finding another screw driver or just break the plastic off and force them out. Another way was I just broke the plastic to get to everything underneath of it..
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the type of Chromebook I had. I had a Chromebook that was very hard to get into. The reason why I would change it is because if taking apart the Chromebook didn't take so long I would have had more time on the printer. Another reason is it I wouldn't have hurt my hands to try and break the plastic if I would have gotten and easier Chromebook.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Engineering because I ham doing Reverse engineering. Some jobs you can have are computer engineers.
This is my video of the Chromebook I took apart.
