I am working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
3D printer
What is your plan to create in this project?
It will be a sign for a scooter.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will have hot wheels on it.
I worked on my my website where i fingered out what to do and did my list of 10.
I looked at what I can make.
I started my project.
Reflection
Using the 3D printer and Tinker Cad, I created a sign that says "Hot Wheels" because a kid who sits next to me broke his foot and got a scooter so people called him hot wheels and so I made the sign for him..
During this process, I learned how to get the 3D printer set up to print. I also learned you have to use glue on the 3D printers so that the project sticks.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I am using equipment in the room like the 3D printer.
A challenge I overcame on this project was when we first started printing I forgot to put glue down so it didn't stick. I was able to do it by putting glue down so it wouldn't stick.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how big and thick it is. The reason why I would change it is because it is not that big and it is not that wide.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School because I was programming the computer to make the design.
My project connects to careers in 3D printing because I was using the 3D printing.
