8P8- 3d print

Day 1- I decided what I would do fro my project.

Day 2- I started to work on my 3D-print

day 3- I worked on the website and I worked on my website

Day 4- i made more of my project

Day 5- I started 3d printing and I messed up and had to restart because of the size. I also worked on the website.

Day 6- I measured my phone and fixed up the size.

I am working by myself.

What materials will you need for your project?

I will need a 3D printer and a computer.

What is your plan to create in this project?

My plan is to create a statue.

What unique qualities will your project have?

My project will have unqie qualities because it has been made out of the 3d printer.

Using, tinker cad and a 3d printer, I created the Statue of Liberty because we could choose anything we want in this project. I chose to start a project with 3-d printing. I also didn't do a 3-d print this year and wanted to.
During this process, I learned how to copy an object and paste it onto another object. Another thing I learned was I could use the mouse to group everything to drag it to another area. One last thing that I learned how to take screenshots using hot keys instead of having to open the app.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I looked at different images of the Statue of Liberty. I did this so I can see how the foundation started. I also did this to see the different details on the project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not having the right measurements and not having a couple parts connected. I was able to do it by on the weekend I measured my phone size and I double checked that everything was connected and group. I also started my project early on the last day so I would have time to 3-d print.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how quickly I finished by project. The reason why I would change it is because I would of had more time to work on the next project. I also wouldn't of had to rush if I finished early.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in CAD Designer because in this project I had to come up with an idea. I then had to start shaping my 3d design. In this job you have to design a 3d print model. Then you have to use a 3d printer to make your creation. That is what I did in this project.
