8P6- Mapleblocks

Using iMovie, Stopmoption, tripod and maple blocks, I created a stop motion video, because we could do anything we want for our project.  I couldn't decide what to do. I wanted to improve in stop motion. 

During this process, I learned how to build with maple blocks. I also learned how to balance the blocks. Another thing I learned how to use a tripod, I used a tripod to take pictures. 

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Callaborator  because I am working on a website that is being shared to the world. Anyone that has internet can view my website. Any device will be able to view my website. 

A challenge I overcame on this project was not being able to decide what to do for my project. I was able to do it by starting out with hotwheels then I changed projects and worked with maple blocks. This helped me a lot when I was deciding to fully comit working on a project. 

Given a chance to do this again, I would change how I edited my video. The reason why I would change it is because I had both of my projects in my video and they were sloppy. It could have been a bit more organized and showed the creations more. 

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in Construction worker because in the project we used maple blocks to build a tower. As a construction worker you have to use wood to make foundation for a house. In this project that is what we did.
