Reflection:
Using computers, Adobe Express, and a Pokemon card maker, I created a pokemon for every staff member in this school. We did this because we thought it would be funny to show the staff what the students think of them through funny cards. We also did this as a memento to the original Mrs.Geukes Pin Pokemon Card.
During this process, I learned how to get even better use out of my time. I started learning how to do this the first time we did this project, but I did even better this go around. I even got 4 cards done in one day. Last time, I would usually get 1 or 2 cards done per day. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. My project ties to this because me and my team worked together to create something original.
A challenge I overcame on this project was finishing all the staff in the school in time. I was able to do it by working with my group faster so we would be done quickly. We also split up each grade so each person had the same amount to do.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how crisp and clean the cuts were. However, it still fit well and got the job done. If I had more time, I would use smaller brushes to make sure it was at the perfect angle. In the end, it still was really good looking. The reason why I would change it is because it didn’t look how I would’ve liked it to.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in photo editing because I used an original picture and added my own flare. I cut out some pieces, added some pieces, and just overall changed the picture. In the end, I made very creative art pieces.
