Daily Log:
Day 1:
Harry and I brainstormed what we would be doing and made are ten good ideas and planning Question.
Day 2:
Harry and I started to work on our 3d prints we need for the project.
Day 3:
Harry and I now have our completed 3dprint
Day 4:
We sent our final print to Mr.Renner.
Today, is the last day of the quarter and the print hasn't been made yet. We also still want to make the wooden stand for it. Since, it's the last day of the quarter, we decided to make 2 parts for this project, and do part 2 next quarter. On the left is our video about the 3dprint
Reflection:
Using a computer 3-D Printer and filament , we created a Cobra Karate Trophy Decoration. We did this because we both really enjoy karate. And would like to represent our love for this with a trophy. We also did this because we aspire to become martial artists ourselves.
During this process, I learned more knowledge on the software Tinkercad. Including how to change the snap grid size if you want one at all. And I also learned that there are more options for things you can add to your project like drawing. I also learned to add text and all the cool stuff around that.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I had only a hint of knowledge on how to use the software Tinkercad entering this project. But now coming out of the project I have a pretty good understanding of how it works.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not having much time to work. I was able to do it by for the little time I had really fully focusing and giving it as much as I could. Another challenge was this was due at the end of the quarter so we couldn't finish our even start printing.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size. The reason why I would change it is because it was too small. The trophy because of it. And that means when we hand it to someone they might think its second place.
