Reflection

• Using Legos, I created a Lego bike because sometimes you get bored. This Lego bike will cure boredom and provide something to do. This bike can roll around on any surface, making driving on a bumpy surface fun. 

• During this process, I learned how to construct a bike. I learned how to allow the wheels to move while having a stable platform in the middle. This shows that I now know how to build a Lego bike in the future.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative design because I had to design the motorcycle innovatively. I had to pick out the design to not interfere with the wheels so they could move.  

• A challenge I overcame on this project was keeping the wheels' ability to move. I was able to do it by altering the design of the chassis. I had to build around the wheels while allowing them to move.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the body of the bike. The reason why I would change it is because I had very limited parts. The parts I was limited to were not what I would've chosen but I built with what I had.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. This is because my design went through multiple changes each time had to be different than the last. 

• My project connects to careers in AutoMotive Design because I had to design an motorcycle. This motorcycle had to be big enough to fit a person but still have room for the wheels. I had to make sure the wheels still move but had an end cap so they wouldn't fall off.
