Using cardboard, I created a minigolf course because people like to golf but mini golf is too big. So we created a golf course that is even smaller than mini golf. This course was designed to be challenging.

During this process, I learned how to incorporate moving parts into a golf course. I had to figure out how to add a windmill to the course. I also had to learn how to be able to make the ball fit into the hole. 

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I had to design a way to spin the windmill. I also had to be able to make sure the loop-de-loop would work.

A challenge I overcame on this project was the loop-de-loop not staying up. I was able to do it by adding supports to the side. I had to make sure the supports would hold the loop-de-loop up while not getting in the way.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the entire course. The reason why I would change it is because we didn't have walls to keep the ball from going out of bounds. This made it so much harder to hit the hole.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Construction Trades CTE program at Hastings High School. Because I had to construct a course with materials and make sure it works.
