Using the Glowforge, I created an emblem because I like videogames. This emblem is from a video game and I thought it was cool so I made it in the Glowforge. This design could go on my wall or on something else and is just supposed to be something cool to look at.

During this process, I learned How to use a Glowforge. I learned how to send my design to get prepped then place it into the Glowforge. Lastly, once it was ready I turned on the Glowforge and started the process. 

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I constructed the knowledge of how to use the Glowforge. I went to Mrrenner.com and found videos on how to use it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was missing a lot of school. I was able to do it by doing the work at home. I used my computer at home to type and do whatever need to be done on my website.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change my design. The reason why I would change it is because my design is very simplistic. I know I could've done a design that had more of a intricate design.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. This is because the design had to be design on an computer then sent so it could be engineered.

My project connects to careers in CNC laser Cutting because they are very similar. In both laser cutting and CNC you have to make the design then have it cut out. Because of my laser cutting experience here I could do CNC laser cutting.
