Reflection

• Using a Cricut and a heat press, I created a shirt because most of my shirts are blank. Because of this, I need a shirt that looks good but has an inspirational quote. I have successfully made the shirt and it looks better than before.

• During this process, I learned how to use a cricut and a heat press to make a shirt. But not make one but to have a design that can be a variety of designs. Using the heat press I could put the design on the shirt and it would stay for a long time.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I watched videos to learn the steps. I built the steps so I could do it again in the future.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was Failing multiple times. I was able to do it by trying again to make it perfect on the last time. I failed 4 times and they were all bad but on the last time, it worked finally. 

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the color. The reason why I would change it is because I had pink as my original color however I lost it in the roller. Also, I would change where I put the paper to store.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. This is because I engineered a shirt and designed the quote.

• My project connects to careers in Graphic design because the quote is technically a graphic. I designed the graphic making me a graphic designer. I made the quote by myself but had other people to reach out to.
