7P5 - 3D Design

Reflection

• Using TinkerCad, I created a toothbrush holder because if I drop my toothbrush it will stay clean. This will also keep the floor clean if I drop it while brushing my teeth. I can clean the container easily by washing it out with water. 

• During this process, I learned more ways to use Tinker Cad. I learned about all the different objects and how to make a hole in an object. I also learned how to 3D print an object. 

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I used an online website to get the measurements of a toothbrush. These measurements helped me make sure the design would fit.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was deciding what to make. I was able to do it by using some of Mr Renner's ideas. These different ideas helped me because I combined a few ideas together.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change what I built. The reason why I would change it is because there is not much to add to my idea. Therefore I feel like I did nothing to it even though I did quite a bit.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in 3D Print Engineering.
