7P7 - Circuit Playground Express

Using Circut Playground, I created how to make a clap light and a zapper glove because the zapper glove would be fun to play with siblings. The clap lights could be used as a flashlight so you could light up rooms. These two might be used with each other like a cops vs robbers situation.

During this process, I learned how to use the circuit playground to code. I also learned how to use an Adafruit which is like a Micro:Bit. Because I had never used an Adafruit it was hard to figure out but I got the hang of it.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I made multiple projects and learned something new each time. The two projects helped me become an Empowered Learner because I had to think of two projects and learn how to make them.

A challenge I overcame on this project was fixing the Zapper glove. I was able to do it by watching some tutorials on how to fix the code. The challenge was fixed toward the deadline to make the projects.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change what I picked. The reason why I would change it is because I was not too fond of the project we picked. This is because it is not that cool or original.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Computer programming.
