Using fabric and a sewing machine, I created a toy for my ferrets because I thought it'd be fun. I enjoyed this project because it was fun to learn how to use a sewing machine. In the end, they loved it.

During this process, I learned how to use the sewing machine to make a toy for my ferrets. The easiest part of my project was designing the toy. The hardest part of my project was flipping the toy.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I made something that I designed. I feel successful in my project because I enjoyed it and learned something new

A challenge I overcame on this project was that I messed up some of the lines. I was able to do it by ripping the stitches and resewing. I did this because it fixed the lines.

Given a chance to do this again, I would make it bigger. The reason why I would change it isit would be easier to flip. However, I like the final piece.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Marketing CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in interior design.
