These are the ferrets I made the sign for!
Using Easel and a CNC machine, I created a sign for my ferrets because I wanted to make something for them. I enjoyed this project because it was fun to design and learn how the CNC machine worked. However, It was slightly difficult to align the material properly.
During this process, I learned how to use the CNC machine to engrave material. The easiest part of my project was designing my sign. The hardest part of my project was getting the clamps on right.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I made an original design. I feel successful in my project because I am proud of my creation and used new technology.
A challenge I overcame on this project was deciding how I wanted to design my sign. I was able to do it by placing the names and finding an add-on that looked nice. I did this because it was the best way to make a creative sign for my pets.
Given a chance to do this again, I would re-run my sign. The reason why I would change it is that the machine updated in the middle. However, I think it fits Dobby's goofy personality
