What materials will you need for your project?
I'm using a button stamper, my iPad, my computer, metal, plastic, and paper.
What is your plan to create in this project?
my plan was to make buttons representing the school for all the staff members.
What unique qualities will your project have?
i have used the button maker before earlier in the year and last year so I'm used to how it works.
Using a button press and google slides, I created a Saxon pride begins with you button/pin because I thought using the button press would be cool.
During this process, I learned that you need to have the button design centered in the press so it doesn't look sloppy.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because i created my own design and made a lot of buttons with it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the words look good curved around the button. I was able to do it by asking Mr Renner for help and taking a circle and measuring it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my partner decision because they didn't really help with the design part. The reason why I would change it is because I did a majority o the work by myself.

this is the overall view of the buttons
these are the actual pin part that you can clip onto your shirt.
these are the metal pieces that go in between the press and the paper
these are the plastic pieces that secure the design down
this is the button press itself.
this is one of the 2 videos i took of me pressing/ making the buttons.
