7p9- pitch your passion

PROJECT 1:

in project one i created a thing on scratch about one of my passions and for the passion I choose to pick basket ball so i coded the ball to make it look like it was bouncing and i coded the sprite to look and move along with the basketball to make it into the hoop.

this is the code i used to get my basketball to travel to the hoop but i made it so that it looks like the basket ball is being dribbled at some points.

this is the picture of my sprite and my basketball hoop background and at this point i coded my basketball to make it from the ground and to get into the hoop successfully.

this is the code i made for my basketball player, its really simple and easy.

PROJECT 2:

In project 2 we had to create a public service announcement so, for mine i made a polar bear and a lion talking about how they could help save the earth, and why they should clean the earth.

This is the background of the lion and polar bear when there talking its just plain purple and kinda boring but simple :).

Using scratch , I created multiple projects including pick your passion public service announcement and the pick your passion lesson. Because we had to create these projects for our websites.
During this process, I learned that scratch is really easy to work with and that coding can sometimes be fun.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to computational thinker because we had to do a lot of coding in this project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the right coordinates on the first project of this lesson I was able to do it by asking my sister for help
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the topic i choose for the public service announcement. The reason why I would change it is because i think in my opinion most people in my class had the idea of picking up trash because its kind of a big thing.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in engineering, teaching.
