Using Hot wheels, I created a track because I liked hot wheels when I was younger. I used to play with hot wheels all the time and I really wanted to feel how it would be to play or work with them again. The hot wheels tracks are easy to put together and fun to put together as well.

During this process, I learned how to have fun while doing teamwork. When ever I did teamwork it was strict and I felt like I was in a rush like environment. When I was building me and my partner were having fun even when we messed up, some of ramps weren't working and when the car went flying we laughed. 

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I had to design the track for the hot wheels car. I had to test different tracks for the car so I can get a better design. 

A challenge I overcame on this project was finding a good track to go with. I was able to do it by trial and error, I made a change in the area where the car would fail at. I had to fix the track 5-8 different times to find a good one I actually liked.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change how long the track is. The reason why I would change it is because the track feels short for how long we have for our project. The track could've been longer but me and my partner found a track that we really liked.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. It connects to Engineering Design because I had to design a track every time and I also had to change it or engineer it to make it better then before.

My project connects to careers in Research Engineer because I had to do more research every time I had to do a track. Every time I failed with my track I had to observe the track to engineer it to fix it. My project also connects to Design Engineer, I designed a track every time.
