For this project I will be working against my friend Tommy. I will need a pencil, wood sticks, wood cutter, glue, ruler, and wax paper. I plan to make a bridge out of wood ,that is stronger than tommy's. My project will be unique because it will be a challenge of who can build the better bridge.

My bridge won, it held 1053 pennies, and a bag of bolts.
This is a video of me putting pennies in the bucket
Using little pieces of wood and glue, I created a bridge because my friend and I were doing a bridge building competition. Also I did this because I like to build mini models so, I talked my friend into building mini bridges to see who's could hold more weight.(mine won) Another thing I had to do was sketch out what I wanted my bridge to look like, My sketch and final product look very different.
During this process, I learned how to make good support for my bridge. I also learned good technique of building bridges. I did it by looking up what is the strongest type of bridge, then making that my sketch to build.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I achieved my learning goals. Also because with my sketch I set a learning goal to build a model bridge.
A challenge I overcame on this project was waiting for the glue to dry. I was able to do it by fanning air at the bridge.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how much support I have underneath it. The reason why I would change it is because that way it could hold more weight.
