This is my videos of the sphero in action during the small shape part of the project.
This is my code for my first small shape. If you look at the video next to this it shows the code in action.
This is a video of the sphero doing the maze
My list of 25:
Using Sphero EDU, I created a code that programs my robot to surround the an square on a piece of paper.I did this because the project says to pick a shape and draw it.Then once you draw a shape on a piece of paper you go to your shpero EDU and code your robot to go around the outside of the shape.During this process, I learned how to use different robots and how to program them. I also learned how to make my own words on the sphero edu app to show up on the sphero bolts.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I had to program my robot to do a maze and a shape. I did this because the project said we have to create a code that tells the robot to go around the shape that you pick.
A challenge I overcame on this project was how to get the right angle, and how to have the robot not to turn more than it needs to. I was able to do it by trying over and over again until i got the right angle on how much I wanted my robot to turn and asked some friends.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my shape because I found it hard to find the right turns and speeds for an square. The reason why I would change it is because it is hard finding the right speeds and angles for an square. This project connect to careers in Computer System Engineering.
