8p3-VR world

For this project I will be working by myself. I will need and iPod, VR goggles, and Co-Spaces. My plan for this project is to make a city where there are people that are doing everyday things. My project will be unique because it will have fence all around it and you will be able to walk around it with the VR goggles.

Using Co-Spaces , I created a city like replica because I wanted to be able to walk through a big city during the winter without getting cold .I built a fence all around the yard. I also built the lady caring balloons, a man skateboarding ,and someone getting pulled over by the cops.

During this process, I learned How to code things on Co-Spaces. Also I learned how to walk though the world with VR goggles. One of the last but most important thing is how to group things together(like the fence).

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I had to use Co-spaces/ a digital tool to build a replica of a city. Also I had to be clever on how I wanted the fences to look.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the roads to line up and be the same size. I was able to do it by Lapping multiple roads on top of each other until they lined up good. Also I was able to get it to the right size by playing with it till I got it to the size I needed then duplicated them.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change What is in the inside of the fence. I would also change how the ground looks on the inside of the fence and add grass.. The reason why I would change it is because It would make it look better and more realistic.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Construction Trades CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in VR management, marketing director, guest experience guide, environment artist at big screen in remote, and construction.
