7P7: Circut Playground

• Using Adafruit and Circuit Playground Express, I created a wheel of fortune, a sound detector, a hot potato game, and a hypnosis circle because I like making games and wanted to see what I could make with only a circle of LEDs.

• During this process, I learned how to run code through the Adafruit software and how many things you can do even with only an LED circle.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project is tied to knowledge construction because I used the videos on the Adafruit website to learn how to properly make quality projects.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out what to make with the limits that only using a circle with LEDs on it had. I was able to do it by watching videos on their website and getting ideas from that and just coming up with random ideas on my own.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the sound detector. The reason why I would change it is because it doesn't detect sound that well was a lazy idea by me and overall wasn't a good idea

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  

• My project connects to careers in software engineering because they both use coders to improve stuff so it can do what it was designed to do.
