Using Adafruit, I created codes for the circuit playground to play because I thought that would be a fun programming project. Also because I like the bright colors. Another thing is I like to code color patterns.
During this process, I learned how to code certain codes of of YouTube. Another thing that I learned how to do was how to get to the coding app. Another thing was how to put the code on the circuit.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because I tested and made different codes till they were perfect. I also had to redo the codes until they turned out perfect.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing how to put the code on the circuit. I was able to do it by asking the people around me and outside of class. Another way I learned was looking it up on YouTube.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the codes that I chose to do. The reason why I would change it is because I feel that the code I did were kind of lame and they could of been a lot better. Also because I could of made a song for it and a better pattern.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to computer programming because I programed a circuit playground to the code I created.
My project connects to careers web developer because I developed a code for the circuit to play. A web developer creates and codes things and then apply them to stuff and that is similar to what I did with the circuit playground. Jobs that tie with web developer are front-end developer, back-end developer, and full-stack developer. Those all tie with web developing because you are creating programming things.
