Using Hot wheels and chairs around the room, I created a big track because we thought that would be the most fun. Also because I haven't made a hot wheels track in a while and just wanted to. Another reason is videos in slow Mo are really cool in my opinion.

During this process, I learned you need to start the track really high to gain speed. Also I learned how to make a jump and a twist. Another thing I learned was it is impossible to do a double loop.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because I stuck with hot wheels the whole time. Another reason it ties innovative designer is because I inspired others to do hot wheels.

A challenge I overcame on this project was not being able to get enough speed to do cool things. I was able to do it by hooking that start of the track to the wire cover near the ceiling. Another thing I overcame was not being able to do a jump. I overcame it by getting the perfect distance and to get the right car to use.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of clips I used to make the video. The reason why I would change it is because I wish my video was longer. Another reason I would add more clips is because I want more cool tricks and jumps.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. I believe it ties to engineering design more than the other programs.

My project connects to careers in design engineering because we designed and created are own track. Jobs that tie with a design engineer is a mechanical engineer, project manager, and also a manufacturing engineer. Those tie with design engineering becasue I am designing a track and then creating it.
