We started the structure and

I started making the bed.

Added the second story and Mya got some more popsicle sticks on the wall

we added a back wall and a partial wall to separate the kitchen and living room.

Mya was sick but I finished the nightstand and made a lamp

I had to redo the dresser twice so it took a couple days

Mya came back so we got the roof and side wall on.

Mya worked on the shingles on the rook and I worked on the furniture.

I worked more on the furniture and Mya and Sydney worked on the roof.

Reflection

Using Popsicle sticks, cardboard, hot glue, and fabric, I created a Barbie house out of cardboard. The reason we did this is because we thought is would be a fun project. We also haven't seen anybody make something like this in this class so we wanted to do it.
During this process, I learned that this isn't an easy project there was a lot of trial and error. Another thing we learned is that we get more done if we have a person doing small tasks for us. We also learned that making things out of cardboard is easier than cardboard.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered learner because I set a goal to get it done before the quarter is over and I achieved it. I also set a goal to make it look nice and I achieved it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the dresser to work. It wasn't working well because I messed up on the dresser and I kept making new drawers. I was able to overcome it by making a new dresser and making a better drawer for it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the kitchen. The reason why I would change it is because I didn't have the enough time to do better things to it. I would also change the attic the reason why I would do this is because it didn't look great and it was pretty empty.

My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in House building.
