How our machine works!
Reflection
Using cardboard, duct tape, hot glue, popsicle sticks, and tin foil Our team created a vending machine because I had some experience with a cardboard vending machine, so we added a slide so the prize can roll out. We also design a catapult that throw your prize at you. Sadly it was too powerful so we had to take it out.
During this process, I learned how to measure the cardboard and get the base we wanted. Since I did something like this before it wasn't as hard. I also learned to fixed the problems when it didn't work.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I set a goal to get it to work properly and I achieved it. It also ties to Digital Citizen because I made sure what to put on my website to keep me and everyone else safe.
A challenge we overcame on this project was getting our catapult to work. We was able to do it by adding a rubber band to it. Even though we ended up getting rid of it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the layout and the structure. The reason why I would change it is because the layout could have been better. We also could have made the base more even.
