Daily log
day 1. Started learning what to do and messing around with some of the things then later in the day I figured out what I'm making. I decided to make a jewelry holder.
day 2. Started working on my jewelry holder and I'm almost finished it. I made the box and then I added the Poles for the bracelets and necklaces
day 3. I added my final touches to my my jewelry holder like adding a ring holder, my name, a star by my name, and a earring holder then I was finished.
day 4. I made sure my project was how I liked it and I started making some new things.
day 5. I changed the ring holder and made it better for different size rings and I also change it to a lighter white so i can paint it when its done.
day 6. I sent my print to Mr. Renner so it can get printed and I started working on my reflection.
Reflection
Using computer, Tinkercad, 3d printer, and filament, I created a jewelry holder with a box that can hold rings, earrings, braclets, and necklaces. The reason I created this is because I needed something to hold all my jewelry. Another reason I created this is because on my top ten I could combine some of the things together and make on big thing.
During this process, I learned how to size things so Its under 3 inches. I did this by having harry show me how to change my units to inches. Another thing I learned was how to check how long my design is.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered learner because I set a goal to make my print actually able to work. I achieved it but not how I wanted it to so it works but doesn't work how I want it to.
A challenge I overcame on this project was what print I should do. I was able to do it by thinking of which of my ideas would solve my biggest problem. Another thing I overcame was how to get the shapes the size I wanted them to be.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the earring holder by taking it out. The reason why I would change it is because when i took the supports off it broke off. I would also change the ring holder because it just took up space and I could just put the rings in the box part.
