Daily Log

day 1: Thought what we are doing and started it by messing with the makey makey

day 2. Figured out how to do make the piano work.

day 3. Recorded our video and made our song which is jingle bells.

REFLECTION

• Using Makey Makey, Makey Makey Plug and Play Piano, Playdough, Chromebook, an Computer, Mya and I created a playdough piano and I played jingle bells. The reason we created this is because Christmas is coming up soon so playing a holiday song would be fun. Another reason is because we wanted to play a song rather than just making a piano that works. 

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered learner because I set a goal to be able to actually play the song andI achieved it. And I also set a goal get it done before its due and we achieved.

• A challenge we overcame on this project was the piano not working when it was in the piano. we were  able to do it by looking it up and watching a tutorial. We also figured it out by adding a alligator clip on the makey makey and holding the other side while you play. 

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the project  idea. The reason why I would change it is because the playdough was all in the way. Another reason is because once we were farther in the song it was too hard too add all of the keys.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in  Computer and Information Systems Manager.
