Day 1
I added a subpage and did my list of ten and planning questions.
Day 2
We talked about want designs we wanted to do.
Day 3
We decided on a wrestling design and looked for copy right free images and started to make the design.
Day 4
We finished the design.
Day 5
We went to make it on the computer in the Connor of the room connected to the Circuit. We couldn't find the password.
Day 6
We got the password and but ran out of time.
Day 7
We hooked up the Cricut and tested it and got one design cut.
Day 8
We got all three designs cut.
Day 9
We started to teed but found out we teeded it wrong.
Day 10
We had to recut all 3 designs.
Day 11
We started teeding them.
Day 12
We finished teeding them, then heat preesed them.
Using Cricut, my friends and I learned how to use a Cricut machine so we could make a design for heat pressing. Also to make something cool for wrestling. The design is a shadow wrestling and a quote and are school mascot.
During this process, I learned how to use Cricut. Also found out that you need a certain type of vinal to heat press. I also found out how to teed a vinal after its done being cut.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learner because I transferred the design of the vinal to a computer close to the cricut machine. Also I used the method of trial and error when messing up the vinals I made changes to make it work using feedback from the machine.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not being able to log in on the PC connected to the cricket. Also trying to find out how to put the stickers on cricket. I was able to do it by watching videos. Also asking people for help to log in.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what color. The reason why I would change it is because to make it cooler and to match school colors.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. It ties to Engineering Design because I designed the shirt.
My project connects to careers in Integrated Circuit (IC) Package Design Engineer because you use a cricut machine in that career. Also another career it ties to is hardware design enginer. In conclusion my project gives experience for jobs in later life.
