My group started building with cardboard.

We decided to make a mini basketball hoop.

Finished the hoop and made the ball orange.

I made a blue ball for the hoop so we can play thunder and lightning. I also made a ramp.

I changed the desigh and finished the ramp.

Started painting my project blue.

Finished with my cardboard creation.
Using cardboard, tape, hot glue, and an iPad , I created a basketball hoop and hot glue balls because it seemed like a fun game that I would like to play. My team and I all liked basketball and thought lets make like a mini basket ball and a mini hoop. The we made the real thang over a course of a couple days.
During this process, I learned how to effectively work as a team. I found that you have to computerize with your ideas.
Also you have to agree and reason with your team.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because me and my team showed are ideas on this website and proceeded them to make Shoot a Shot Basketball. That's how my project ties to global collaborator.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making a basketball hoop out of the resources I was given.. I was able to do it by thinking and brainstorming ideas with my group. I took the popsicle sticks and spaced them to have a hole in the middle and wrapping it in tape.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way my group painted the hoop. The reason why I would change it is because I don't thank it looks that good. Some of the cardboard is not painted which does not look that good.

My project connects to the CTE Engineering Design program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Mechanical Engineering .
