Using Keva planks, I created a skyscraper because I thought it would be challenging. Also, I thought it would be fun to build. Another reason is its satisficing to watch it fall when you destroy it.

During this process, I learned that a strong structure is crucial for a building. Also, that balance is hard while using Keva planks. In conclusion using Keva planks is sometimes difficult.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global collaborator because I'm sharing my creation with the world. Also, my ideas about that creation and other ideas for creations with the Keva  planks.

A challenge I overcame on this project was balancing it. I was able to do it by creating a different top for it. Also, It toke a lot of patience to build and steady hands.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of the skyscraper. The reason why I would change it is because I think it would be cool to build it to the celling.  It would need a lot of planks though.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. It ties to this because a designed a skyscraper with Keva planks. 

My project connects to careers in constriction because constriction ties to my CTE (Engineering Design). Using Keva planks, you can explore concepts like balance and stability just as in construction. In conclusion My project connects to careers in constriction.
