My plan is to make a step counter.

It will have unique programing and it will count steps.

Day 1

Today, I was introduced to micro bits and made a list of ten ideas for a micro bit.

Day 2

Today, I used my micro bit to spell my name and made a video about it.

Day 3

I started programing the micobit to make a compass to swhow north.

Day 4

I changed my Microbit to be a step counter instead of compass north.

Day 5

I made a video of the programed micro bit. When your leg shakes (steps) it adds a step.

Day 6

I made a new project . It's a magic 8 ball. You shake it then it gives you a yes or a no.

Day 7

I programed my Microbit to make a beating heart.

Day 8

Stared on my sentences.

Finished my sentences ( Made into paragraphs).

Using an iPad, iMovie, a Microbit , I created a compass, a stepcounter, a beating heart, a magic 8ball, and a nametag because I though that they were cool things to make. I also made these thangs for entertainment and fun. Also I make these things for exorcise program.
During this process, I learned programing is hard. I know this because i made a step counter and it was hard to find certain programing blocks. Also, I learned that there is multiple was to program.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I'm sharing my ideas to the world on this website. Another way my project ties to Global Collaborator is that I put forth good effort online.
A challenge I overcame on this project was finding blocks. I was able to do it by using variables on Microbit. I would search a part of a block and it would come up.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my list of ten. The reason why I would change it is because I found more and thought of more ideas. Like making a workout shaker when you shake it and it gives you a number you do that many pushups or exorcises of your chosie.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in AI engineering.
