8P9 3D printing

Using Tinkercad, PC, and a 3d printer, I created a makeup brush cleaner. I have lots of dirty makeup brushes that need to be cleaned. I had been wanting to make this for a while and finally got to do it. 

During this process, I learned how to make holes in the 3d design. What you do is you make the hole the size you want and press the hole button. after that you have to group the items together and then you have a hole in your print.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I am sharing my projects with the world. If I wasn't sharing it with the world it would tie into another standard.

A challenge I overcame on this project was sizing. I was able to do it by changing the snap grid and then choosing the size I wanted the object to be. That's how I overcame my sizing project.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the whole project.. The reason why I would change it is because it was kinda easy and I thought it would be more challenging. So given the chance to change the project I would but this was something fun and easy to work on.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the engineer and design CTE program at Hastings High School. It ties into this because I designed and engineered something you can use daily or time to time.

My project connects to careers in 3d design engineers because I made a 3d design and I am going to print it. My project also ties into healthcare and biomedical jobs because, they 3d print prosthetics and implants for people who want or need to change something about their body.
