Day 1

For today I added 10 ideas, worked on planning questions and started working

Day 2

For today I cut out the second fabric and I startred to sew it together

Day 3

For today I had to re measure the durag becasue it had a horn on the front

Day 4

For today i re adjusted the durag and hemed the ties

Day 5

For this day i finished my durag and i was working on edtiing the video.

Day 6

For this day I made my CTE and was wroking on my new project

Using fabric, sewing machine, thread, and scissors, I created a durag because I wanted to make something nobody else wopuld be making. The durag I made isn't the material that it needs to be. The durag that I did make though was fun because it had 2 colors on each side
During this process, I learned how to thread a bobbin and how to use a new brand of sewing machine. For the bobbin I had a perosn show me then I did it. I also do not have this kind of sewing machine at my house so it was harder to use.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I made a project and am sharin git witht the world. If I wasn't sharing this with the world then this project wouldn't be global collaborator
A challenge I overcame on this project was using the sewing machine. I was able to do it by watching videos and watching other people use it. The trouble i had was with the bobbin because the thread would bunch up and get stuck.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the fabric of the durag. The reason why I would change it is because the fabric I used was not stretchy or smooth. The fabric I texture i was supposed to use would have been a spandex and satin mix for the softness and stretch that helps make the waves
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the engineer and design be CTE program at Hastings High School. It ties into the engineer and esign program because it designed something i haven't done before, and engineered it to be the right item I'm making.
My project connects to careers in design and fashion because durags are used for a legit accsesory. This project also ties into the design part because it designed an acessory for some to wear. That is the career my project ties into
